Welcome to Steilacoom Historical Education Foundation Dollars for Scholars®!
SHEF is affiliated with Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars®, linking our community to Dollars for Scholars programs operating across the country, which collectively award more than $41 million to 40,000 students annually.
We are located in Washington State, based in the communities that comprise the Steilacoom Historical School District: Anderson Island, Dupont, a small part of Lakewood, and Steilacoom. SHEF has provided scholarships for graduating seniors from Steilacoom High School since 1995.
The generosity of our community has supported over 250 students as they continue their education after high school by providing more than $125,000 in scholarships over the years.
Scholarships have been funded in the past through numerous SHEF Auctions and Dinners, and the By the Bay Car Shows held each July. In addition, several generous community members fund specific scholarships in their own name, or in memory of family members. General donations are also warmly welcomed, and provide invaluable support to the SHEF organization and its work.
